Privacy policy

We respect your privacy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users on our website https://onebookpublishing.org/ (hereinafter referred to as “the website”).

This Privacy Policy applies to all pages on https://onebookpublishing.org/. It does not apply to pages hosted by other organizations, affiliated entities, or third-party websites. Our website may link to third-party sites, but those sites may have their own privacy policies.

You can use our website without providing personal information. However, certain services on our site are subject to additional rules explained below. We collect personal data from you (such as country of residence, phone number, email, shipping address, payment details, and other data necessary for fulfilling a contract with One Book Publishing, UAB and providing related services) in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679). The following provisions explain what data we collect, how we use it, and why.

Please note that transmitting data over the internet carries security risks, and complete protection against third-party access is not possible.

Cookies

We use cookies to recognize returning users/connections. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your device. They enhance our website and services. Most are temporary (session cookies) removed once you leave the site.

Some cookies store information (like your IP address) for user recognition. This data improves service quality and speeds up access.

You can disable cookies via your browser settings, though this may limit site functionality.

Server Data

For technical reasons, we collect the following data from your browser or provider (server log files):

  • Browser type and version

  • Operating system

  • Referrer URL

  • Pages visited

  • Date and time of visit

  • IP address

These anonymous data are stored separately from any personal information, making user identification impossible. They are used for analytics and service improvement.

Registration

You may register on our website. Data submitted during registration is stored and used solely for the purpose of site functions. We also record your IP address and timestamp to prevent unauthorized registrations. This data is not shared with third parties, except email addresses, which may be used for newsletters (see “Newsletters” section).

By registering, you confirm you’ve read the Privacy Policy and are at least 16 years old.

Personal data for newsletters will be stored until you unsubscribe, after which such data is deleted.

Newsletters

Registration implies consent to subscribe to our newsletter. We require a valid email. Subscription is confirmed by verifying the email owner. We also record IP address and timestamp for security. No additional data is collected.

Personal data (email) may be shared with service providers for newsletter distribution, in compliance with GDPR. You may unsubscribe at any time (instructions included in each email).

Contact

You can contact us at sales@onebookpublishing.org. Any data you provide is stored to facilitate future communication. No data is shared with third parties or combined with other site data.

Google Analytics (with IP anonymization)

We use Google Analytics (Google Inc., Mountain View, CA, USA), which employs cookies to collect usage data, including IP addresses, sent to Google in the USA. We use IP anonymization on our site, so Google truncates IPs before processing.

Google uses this data for site usage reports and may share it with third parties as required by law. Google will not link your IP address with other Google-held data. You can disable cookies in your browser or opt-out via Google’s opt-out tool. This prevents data collection by Google Analytics but may affect site features.

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect forms, we use Google reCAPTCHA. It sends info like referrer URL, IP address, browser data, cookie data, and user interactions to Google. Google may use this data to improve services like Street View. IPs sent via reCAPTCHA are not combined with other Google data unless you’re logged in. To prevent this, log out of your Google account before using the form. Use of reCAPTCHA is governed by Google’s Terms.

YouTube embeds (Enhanced Privacy Mode)

We embed YouTube videos using enhanced privacy mode. When you view a page with an embedded video, your browser connects to YouTube. Even in enhanced privacy mode, YouTube knows which of our sites you’ve visited and, if you’re logged in, may link it to your account. To avoid this, log out before viewing.

Facebook Pixel

Our website uses Facebook Pixel, an analytics tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., which collects technical data about user interactions on the site. Facebook Pixel may collect information such as visited pages, clicks, conversions, device type, IP address, user agent, timestamps, and hashed data required for attribution. This information is transmitted to Meta to measure advertising performance and optimize marketing campaigns. More details on how Meta processes data can be found in Meta’s Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.

PayPal Payment Option

If you choose PayPal, your contact data (name, address, phone, IP, email, order details) will be sent to PayPal (Europe), SCA, Luxembourg. PayPal processes payments and protects buyers. PayPal may share data with subcontractors or affiliates as needed, for contracting or compliance.

Depending on the payment method, PayPal also shares data with banks. This is for identity check and transaction approval (e.g. donations).

Refer to PayPal’s privacy policy for details.

Stripe Payment Option

We use Stripe (Stripe, Inc., San Francisco, USA) for payments. Data is sent to Stripe’s servers in the USA. Stripe is EU—US Privacy Shield certified. See Stripe’s website for details.

Google Ads (Conversion Tracking)

We use Google Ads to advertise. Conversion tracking sets cookies that track which pages were visited after clicking an ad. These cookies expire after 30 days and cannot personally identify users. Google and advertisers receive statistics but no personal data. You can disable these cookies via browser settings.

You can review Google privacy details on their site.

User Rights — Correction, Access, Removal

You may contact us for free to request correction, blocking, or deletion of your personal data, or revoke consent. You have the right to correction or deletion unless legal obligations require data retention.

To exercise these rights or ask questions, contact us at the email provided during registration or at sales@onebookpublishing.org.

Supervisory Authority Complaint

You have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority as per GDPR.
